Falling…

Michael Hamilton’s single ‘Falling’ describes the motions of falling for a girl whilst having every other form of success monetarily, yet still yearning for the love of one women. Emphasis is placed on the loneliness of success in the first verse, as Michael explains

“now I'm living in a palace I don't know why I've never felt so alone, even though I got the Roley and a Benz, you’re  the only thing that can remind me of the ends, it's crazy how my fam and all your family are friends - it’s true when they say money doesn't buy you happiness”.

‘Falling’ is a laid back, vibey Afro-Pop song with a super catchy melodic chorus; something which is witnessed consistently throughout Michael’s songs. The “ohhh” accent heard at the beginning and end of the song, creates a slight bittersweet feeling within listeners - reflecting the exciting yet fearful feeling of falling for someone.

Parts of J Boog’s ‘Let’s Do It Again’ and ‘Do It Again’ by Pia Mia can be heard throughout the chorus, as certain lyrics and melodies are sampled from the original songs. ‘Falling’ is one to add to your summer playlists as a soon familiar favourite.
