CHRLI'S DAYDREAM

Updated: Dec 1, 2023

CHRLI'S DAYDREAM ARTWORK
CHRLI

CHRLI is a singer/songwriter from Greater London with St.Lucian & Irish roots. She's always been a natural performer, taking part in singing and musical theatre from an age as young as five. CHRLI is also a prolific writer - doing anything from journaling to poetry to songwriting - she has always found great comfort in exploring her thoughts and emotions through that medium. She blends her unique writing style & musical experience into her songs, effortlessly, creating beautiful R&B/Neo-Soul ballads, drawing her main inspiration from artists such as Cleo Sol, Amaria & Raveena.

CHRLI's "Daydream" is an atmospheric journey through unreality. Her silky vocals and alluring melodies are a distinctive feature of her style, which are complimented by cinematic production from her frequent collaborator "QTorra". He contrasts somber guitar with punchy percussion. This Neo-Soul/R&B fusion track showcases CHRLI's ability to use intricate lyrical concepts in an acoustically pleasing way. It serves as a metaphor for those who sell you dreams and entice you with empty promises while never failing to fall short on them. It's the perfect song for when you're relaxing late at night or feeling melancholy. CHRLI's tone of voice is intriguing to listen to as she explores a range different tones throughout the song, keeping listeners on their toes. The song ends with a verse of faded out poetry read by CHRLI, creating a sentimental ending.
